In the Winter ’07 Edition, Salesforce.com introduced Popup Reminders. Now, if you find yourself getting a lot of popup reminders for your tasks or events (and your desktop is already riddled with all the reminders from your Microsoft Outlook calendar), there is hope. You can turn these off (and you don’t have to be an administrator).
- Simply go to Setup > My Personal Information > Reminders
- Uncheck the box next to “Trigger alert when reminder comes due”
- Remember to hit the Save button
